🐕Meet Autumn and Summer: Our New Guardians of the Farm 🐕
Share
Life on the farm just got a little fluffier—and a lot more protected. Autumn and Summer, our two Great Pyrenees, have joined the herd as full-time livestock guardians. They’re calm, steady, and already right at home among the goats.

Autumn
Autumn has a soft, watchful way about her. She likes the edges of the pasture where she can see everything at once, and she’s already bonded with the herd. She doesn’t need a lot of fuss—just a good view, a quiet patrol, and a quick head rub on her rounds.

Summer
Summer is our greeter. She’ll meet you at the gate with a slow tail wag, then get right back to work. She’s confident, steady on her feet, and happiest when she’s shadowing the goats from shade to shade as the day warms up.
What Makes Great Pyrenees Great for the Farm
This ancient livestock guardian breed was raised to live outdoors with the animals they protect. They’re gentle with their herd, but fearless when they need to be. Here’s what we love:
- Natural guardians: Bred for centuries to deter predators and keep watch day and night.
- Calm & steady: Low-drama energy that keeps the herd relaxed.
- Independent thinkers: Make smart choices in the field without constant direction.
- All-weather coats: Thick, weather-resistant fur that’s built for New England seasons.
- Gentle giants: Big hearts to match their big paws—patient with animals and people they know.

Nevaeh
Many of you already know Nevaeh, our Australian Shepherd who keeps the day humming. With Autumn and Summer now on guardian duty, Nevaeh can focus on her favorite jobs: moving critters along and checking every corner like the pro she is.
Stop by the farm and you might spot two fluffy white coats drifting through the farm, ears up, eyes soft, and minds on the herd. That’s Autumn and Summer—quiet guardians, happy hearts, and a reassuring presence for our animals and for us.
With love and goat kisses,
